There’s power in small things—children, flowers, a smile—I love the quote by quote Kurt Vonnegut that says, “Enjoy the little things in life for one day you’ll look back and realize they were the BIG things.”
I have that quote with a picture of my son in my planner—it helps me keep first things first and keep my priorities in order. I also know that there’s power in an impactful strategy, leading to BIG wins.
The Power PocketMod is one such small thing that incorporates three BIG win strategies: 1) writing, 2) a PocketMod, and 3) putting first things first. These are the 3 main reasons you should be using the FREE Power PocketMod.
Reason 1. I discovered the power of writing things down several years ago through reading the Creativity Cure. Research shows that the physical act of writing engages the right side of your brain, activating happy brain waves.
That’s one of the main reasons I write in a gratitude journal and use my own Power PocketMod. Writing something down creates those positive brain waves but also releases the need for your brain to think about it—creating valuable space that helps you avoid decision fatigue.
Reason 2. I never even heard of a PocketMod until a few weeks ago, honestly. I was brainstorming with my business partner—and husband—a way to keep a planner in your pocket. I wanted something close by for my clients to keep with them as they established the habit of using a prioritized to do list.
He had the idea of using a PocketMod—a recyclable personal organizer, which is described as a “non-fancy” way of keeping yourself organized. It’s a perfect fit—into my pocket!
Keeping an organizer in your pocket reminds you at all times of your priorities. It keeps you focused and on task—saving you valuable time AND from feeling overwhelmed.
Reason 3. Keeping first things first is a one of the POWER tools outlined by Steven Covey decades ago in his “7 habits of Highly Effective People”. Making that your focus every day is HUGE.
By making a to do list everyday and then prioritizing your to do list, you’re doing three things—-determining what’s truly a priority today, doing things in order of importance (saving you time), and keeping you focused even when you’re tired (i.e. all teachers at the end of the day).
If you haven’t already, download the Pretty Power PocketMod—for free—today and get your day, your week, and your life back into balance. You deserve it!
